Leadership Training Opportunities

Want to get involved in this initiative but don’t know where to start? Check out these workshops and leadership training to help build the skills and expertise that will help you make a difference in your community.

Educate a Child at GA222

The Educate a Child Initiative will be present at General Assembly in Portland in June. The joint national/international initiative will give a progress report to the Assembly and will be collaborating with other ministry areas and leaders throughout the church on critical issues at the intersection of education and public health like we have witnessed in Flint, Michigan, and La Oroya, Peru. Come by the Compassion Peace and Justice and World Mission exhibits in the exhibit hall to learn more.

Members of the Educate a Child Staff Team want to come to you. We are prepared to preach, teach, and lead workshops related to the initiative in general as well as to speak to particular areas of interest in your context (the Pipeline to Prison, early childhood education, nutrition and education, education of immigrant children, etc.). Don’t hesitate to reach out – contact Convener Rev. Alonzo Johnson at Alonzo.Johnson@pcusa.org for more information.
